Our Vision

Makayla Maraganis is the co-founder, owner, and managing attorney of Northern Arizona Legacy Law Group. Alongside her co-founder and fellow Flagstaff local Kristina Henson, Makayla launched the firm in 2025 with a clear mission: to offer legal services with more heart, humanity, and local connection than what many people expect when hiring a lawyer.

Born with a deep sense of empathy and service, Makayla focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, guardianships, and conservatorships — areas of law where people need not just sound legal advice, but real compassion and clarity. Whether she's helping a family navigate the loss of a loved one or guiding someone through the process of securing a legal guardianship, Makayla brings a calm, steady presence and a sincere commitment to making the process less overwhelming.

Before law school, Makayla earned her B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University right here in Flagstaff. She went on to earn her J.D. from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon, where she deepened her passion for serving families and individuals during life’s most important transitions.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Makayla spending time with her animals, close friends, and family — the core relationships that fuel her belief in planning with purpose and living with intention. As a proud dog mom and Northern Arizonan, she’s committed to building a law firm that reflects the values of the community she loves.

Makayla is honored to walk alongside clients during pivotal moments and believes legal planning should always feel like a conversation, not a transaction. Her goal? To give you peace of mind, a clear plan, and the kind of support she’d want for her own family.

As a longtime Northern Arizona resident, former business owner, and proud NAU graduate, I bring both legal and business expertise to Northern Arizona Legacy Law Group. In addition to serving as the firm’s Chief Marketing Officer, I work as a paralegal supporting our estate planning, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship practice areas.

My career began in real estate, where I built a reputation for strategic thinking, honest communication, and guiding clients through some of life’s biggest decisions. That same commitment carries into my legal work—ensuring our clients feel informed, supported, and confident at every step. My deep local knowledge, strong community connections, and passion for service help me anticipate challenges, streamline processes, and create solutions that truly protect our clients’ legacies.

Whether I’m behind the scenes drafting documents, building relationships, or developing the firm’s brand presence, my focus remains the same: delivering thoughtful, compassionate, and effective support for every client we serve.
